The biggest clubs in the world are back to IberCup. And this time they all come to Portugal for the Cascais and World Final tournament. Real Madrid, FC Porto, Juventus, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, PSG, SL Benfica and Sporting have all confirmed their participation making this the most competitive youth soccer event in the world.
A year after their defeat in the IberCup Cascais 2019 final, Real Madrid return to fight for the title in 2020. In 2019, in the final against Real Betis, the merengue team lost on penalties to the Andalusian team. In 2020 they will return to Cascais with a lot of strenght to reach the top of the podium this time.
FC Porto is the winning team. For the third time they will participate in the competition and come with everything to consecrate their third title. Can any club stop the Dragons?
Juventus will be back with great will to win the title. "La Vecchia Signora" reached the final at the IberCup Cascais of 2019 but fell against an overwhelming Benfica. Juve however has an IberCup title at Costa Del Sol in 2016 in the U-11 category.
The year 2016 was a good year for the great Europeans, in this same IberCup Costa del Sol 2016 Manchester City was champion in the Under-9 category. However, the English team wants more and comes with conviction to stamp the IberCup passport once again and fight for the trophy.
Atletico Madrid returns to Portugal after winning the Estoril tournament in 2015. The Spanish team are trying another title with the 2008 category.
PSG participated in the largest edition of IberCup Brasil in January. Despite playing with a very strong team and even the brother of star Kylian Mbappé, Paris Saint-Germain Football Club lost to Brazilian club Flamengo in the semi-finals.
SL Benfica comes to defend the title of the last edition and tries the two-time championship. In April 2019, the Eagles won the final 2-0 leaving without Juve a chance.
Sporting CP, a club that has formed stars like Figo and Ronaldo, has already had 2 IberCup titles in the past, but in 2019 failed to validate any. Is 2020 the year of the lion?
