The IberCup is currently one of the most important World Youth Football Tournaments in the Planet. Since the first edition, 90 countries have already been represented in our tournaments. Every year about 50 000 players participate in the various IberCup tournaments for a week of competition, fantastic experiences and extraordinary opportunities to compete with teams from all over the world. Football creates the possibility of meetings both outside and on the field with participants from all over the world, being currently one of the most international youth football tournaments throughout the World.
The IberCup is held in different locations: USA, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, England and Japan.
Get into the IberCup Circuit!
IberCup offers the possibility to participate in a worldwide circuit of international youth football tournaments. With competitions in several different countries, IberCup offers the possibility to reach the IberCup World Final and become a World Champion. These tournaments are aimed for teams that are looking for top-level competitions. The level and its difficulty will increase as the teams progress through the different phases of the circuit.
How is the level of the teams on the IberCup circuit of tournaments?
On the Preliminary Cups, there can be teams of various levels and any team can apply. In the Qualifiers World Final and in the IberCup World Final, the teams will be able to play against the best football academies in the world, such as Fc Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico de Madrid, Sevilla FC Manchester City, Arsenal FC, Manchester United, Liverpool FC, Paris St Germain, O. Lyon, Inter Milan, Juventus, Werder Bremen, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Benfica, FC Porto, Sporting CP, Gremio, Corinthians, Palmeiras, Flamengo, River Plate or Yokohama Marinos, who have participated in previous editions.
These tournaments are aimed for teams that wish to combine an excellent football competition with a week of vacation, tourism and multicultural experiences of the highest quality. All while competing against top-level teams. The proximity to the sea and the excellent climate that we have during this period, allows all participants to enjoy the beautiful beaches along the coast after their football matches.
When participating in the Holiday Tournaments, you will always have the possibility to make a combined tour. Thus, in order to minimise the initial cost of your trip, you can choose to participate in two IberCup tournaments, in two consecutive weeks and in two countries with an excellent tourist offer, as it is in Portugal and Spain.
Every year, IberCup's Tournaments have the participation of more than 1800 teams from 70 countries. Famous teams like FC Barcelona, Liverpool FC, Manchester City, Ajax, Bayer Munique, O. Lyon, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, Juventus, FC Porto, SL Benfica, Sporting CP, FC Zenit, Valencia CF, Sevilla FC,Chivas Guadalajara, Paris St Germain, Olympique Marseille, Grêmio FBPA, Palmeiras and Corinthians already participated in previous editions. The participants are between 9 and 18 year old boys and girls, distributed in different age categories.
IberCup is played following FIFA’s football rules. The limit for team’s applications is 32 teams in each age category. If the maximum enrollment of teams is reached before the deadline for registrations, registrations will close before the scheduled date. After you submit your application which will be evaluated by our organization, we will decide if your application is accepted. Team's participation is only assured after all payments are confirmed. Note that in previous editions the tournament has not been able to accept all teams that wished to enter.
Who May Participate:
All clubs, who are members of their FIFA affiliated national associations, are welcome to participate in IberCup Tournaments. The club has to be a member of their FIFA affiliated national association. In countries where football is operated by schools, we also allow teams affiliated by their school football association.
Number of Teams in the Tournament:
It is our goal that all teams that wish to take part in IberCup should be able to do so. However, please note that, during the last couple of years the tournament has not been able to accept all teams that wished to enter. There is a maximum of 200 teams (including 100 local teams). The teams which pay their entry fees first will be given priority. The team is officially registered only after their first entry payment. Additionally, most of the hotels will be fully booked before November, so don’t take too long to make your decision, accommodation options close early. A club can register automatically a maximum of two (2) teams per category (more than two must be approved by the organization).
The tournament begins with Group Stage. The teams are divided into groups of four or five where all the teams will meet in a round robin series. Classiﬁcation/standings will be determined according to points. A victory is 3 points; Draw 1 point; Defeat 0 points. The two best teams in each group will advance to Playoff Gold. The third position in the group will advance to the Playoff Silver. The fourth position in the group will advance to the Playoff Bronze. The rest of the teams are eliminated. The playoff matches are played by direct elimination and in case of a draw, elimination will be decided by penalties according to FIFA’s regulations. All players must be insured, both for games and leisure time. Arrival for all teams is at least 1 day before the tournament's first match.
School Accommodation: 14th to 19th April. Full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Lunch and dinner, depending on the option, can be at nearby meal centers or schools. Arrival with dinner included, departure with lunch included. Lunch on the day of 11-a-side Finals is where the Finals will take place. A minimum of one and a maximum of four leaders per team may stay in the school. One classroom per team. Everyone staying at the school must pay the accommodation cost. Sleeping bag or beds are not included in the price. You can rent beds and bedding from us with an additional cost per person per week. The IberCard and accommodation fee is included in the cost.
Bungalows Accommodation: 14th to 19th April. Full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). All the meals take place at the Bungalow Restaurant. Arrival with dinner included, departure with lunch included. Lunch on the day of 11-a-side Finals is where the Finals will take place. The IberCard and accommodation fee is included in the cost.
Hotel Accommodation: 14th to 19th April. Full board (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Breakfast takes place at the hotel. Lunch and dinner, depending on the option, can be at a nearby meal center, school or in the chosen accommodation. Arrival with dinner included, departure with lunch included. Lunch on the day of 11-a-side Finals is where the Finals will take place. The IberCard and accommodation fee is included in the cost.
Without Accommodation: Only for local teams (within 60 kilometer radius from the competition centers). All participants in this category need to pay a participant fee that includes the IberCard. There is a limited number of teams accepted in this category.
- May 1, 2018: Online registration form for next year’s tournament opens. When we receive your deposit fee we confirm your place in IberCup.
- February 10: Final date for registrations. If the maximum enrollment of teams is reached before that date, registrations will close before the scheduled date.
- 90 days before the tournament 50% of the accommodation fee/participation fee for all participants with or without accommodation must be paid.
- 45 days before the tournament Full payment of all services. Both leaders and players pay this fee. You can cancel players until 90 days before the tournament, after that a doctors certificate is required.
- 30 days before the tournament: Final date to send the players list. After this date we will charge an extra 5€ per player.
- 30 days before the tournament: Final date to send the rooming list. After this date we will charge an extra 10€ per person.
- April 1: Match schedule is posted.
- April 14: Arrival day, no matches played.
- April 15: The matches begin.
- April 16: Stars Match.
- April 17: Leaders Match.
- April 18: Playoff Stage. Playoff Gold Finals 7-a-side. Playoff Silver and Bronze Finals.
- April 19: Playoff Gold Finals 11-a-side. Prize Giving Ceremony.
- In case, of unforeseen circumstances, Ibercup Organization reserves the right to be able to change the above mentioned dates.
The IberCard is included in the Accommodation package for all participants. The IberCard gives free access to public train transportation between Cascais and Lisbon and the Opening Ceremony.

Valid only for the champion of each category. The winning team will have special conditions for the same number of the original participants in the registration form. The prize is non-transferable. You will only be allowed to change the registration form if you present a medical certificate and after analysis from the organization. If the team wishes to contract additional packages, they should check the price list corresponding to the tournament.
Extras that are not included: Flights, additional nights, transfers for leisure and other extra activities.
The flights will be managed by the IberCup organization.
(1)The winning team will be entitled to accommodation in a school (The team needs to bring air mattresses and sleeping bags), full board meals (3 meals per day), local transfers (Airport and match transfers) upon fulfilment of the conditions.
